Welcome to Lawft.
Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully. These Terms govern your access to and use of Lawft’s services and software. By accessing or using Lawft, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any additional policies incorporated by reference.
1. Overview
Lawft is a law practice management software platform provided by Lawft, LLC (“Lawft,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our platform is designed for licensed attorneys and law firms in the United States to manage client matters, billing, document automation, calendaring, communications, and more.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you (the “User” or “Firm”) and Lawft, LLC. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
2. Services Provided
Lawft provides a cloud-based SaaS platform including, but not limited to:
Matter and document management
Time tracking and billing tools
Integrated communications (text, email)
Task and workflow automation
Calendar and docketing tools
Lawft AI tools for document automation and case tracking
These features may evolve, be added to, or be discontinued at our discretion.
3. User Eligibility
You represent that you are (a) a licensed legal professional or employed by a licensed legal practice, and (b) at least 18 years old. Lawft is not intended for use by individuals or businesses engaged in unauthorized practice of law.
4. Account Registration and Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use Lawft in violation of any law or regulation
Attempt unauthorized access to the system or data
Disrupt or interfere with the performance of the Services
Use Lawft to send spam, phishing, or unlawful content
Upload any confidential client data unless permitted by applicable ethics rules and laws
6. Subscription, Billing & Fees
Lawft is offered on a subscription basis. You agree to pay all applicable fees as outlined in your service agreement or sign-up form. Fees are billed monthly or annually, in advance, and are non-refundable except as required by law.
We reserve the right to modify our pricing with at least 30 days’ notice.
7. Data Ownership and Privacy
You own all content, data, and files you upload to Lawft. We do not claim ownership of your firm’s data. Lawft may access, process, and use data only as necessary to provide and support the Services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
8. Confidentiality
We will maintain the confidentiality of your data and internal firm information. You agree to protect Lawft’s confidential business information and technology.
9. Lawft AI Tools
Lawft’s AI-powered features are designed to assist—not replace—attorney judgment. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated outputs before using them in practice.
Lawft AI does not provide legal advice and should not be relied upon for legal determinations.
10. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time with 30 days’ notice. We may suspend or terminate your access if:
You breach these Terms
You fail to make timely payment
Your use poses a security or legal risk
Upon termination, you will have a limited window (up to 30 days) to export your firm’s data.
11. Disclaimers
Lawft is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Lawft’s liability will not exceed the fees paid by you during the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. Lawft is not liable for lost profits, indirect or incidental damages, or loss of data.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lawft, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages resulting from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
14. Intellectual Property
All Lawft software, features, designs, and content (except User Content) are owned by Lawft or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or distribute Lawft software without our written consent.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or the use of the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the platform or email. Continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
